ELECTRICALMECHANICAL
Model CA-3124 is a broadband, base-mounted
dipole antenna which provides vertically polarized,
omnidirectional coverage over the 115-162 MHz
frequency band for power levels to 100 watts. It
is a rugged, lightweight unit sealed within an
epoxy fiberglass radome, suitable for prolonged
use in a marine shipboard environment.
The zenith pattern of the antenna is a figure-
eight with maximum signal intensity along the
horizon. An electrical isolating section is
incorporated into the feed system to provide a
balanced feed to the radiating elements and to
assure large decoupling from the feed line. A dc
static drain path is provided across the feedpoint.
CA-3124 has been fully qualified to meet MIL-S-
901C for Grade A Shock; MIL-STD-167, Type I
Vibration; and all Service Conditions of MIL-E-
16400F for class 2 equipments.
