components.Addingtwosmalldecouplingcapacitorsto
thedesignimprovesreceptionandsoundquality.Evenwith

antennapathcanenhancereceptionqualityevenfurther.
TheTEA5991requiresnoalignmentandusesalowsupply
voltage(2.4to3.6V).Thesingle-endedantennainputis
optimizedforaheadphonewire.Theradiooffersawidetuning
range(70to108MHz,includingthe70MHzChinaband)and
usesatuninggridof50,100and200kHz.Ithasaveryreliable
andfastautosearchwithaninternalautostoreofupto
32channels,anditsupportsdynamicadjacentchannel
suppressionforbetterreceptionquality.
Tomakedesign-inmoreflexible,theTEA5991supports
theI²CandSPIbuses(3-or4-wireformat).Adigitally
controlledalgorithmsupportsseamlessco-existence
withGSM,Bluetooth,Wi-FiandWiMAX.Tosavepower,
thereisastandbymodeforfastrestartandapower-down
modeforverylow-powermode.
