10-Turn 1" Diameter Concentric Scale Dials
Calibrated dials designed for multi-turn potentiometers up to ten turns. Requires only one inch of
panel space. Knob attaches directly to the shaft, and the body of the dials is mounted rigidly to the

Clarodials
A high quality concentric scale dial designed to be used
in conjunction with the 73JB multiturn potentiometer,
the series 316 is available in clear brushed metal design
or black anodized metal with white numerals at slightly
higher cost. Price inducements are available when the
73JB and 316 dial are purchased together as a set.
Readout and Operation: Unit shall register a total count
of 15 turns. The number in the window (0-14) indicates
completed number of turns of the drive sleeve. Graduated
circular dial indicates the percent of a partial turn of the
drive sleeve. Transfer Point: The number in center of
window shall change as graduated dial rotates between
94 and 0. Rotation: Readout shall increase with clockwise and decrease with counterclockwise rotation. Brake Lever Operation:
1st Position (15¡ movement of Brake Lever) operates a high torque system for fine adjustment; 2nd Position (15¡ additional
movement of Brake Lever) actuates brake. Accuracy: Backlash shall be zero between graduated dial and drive sleeve. Mounting:
Install mounting bracket between panel and panel nut. Clarodial shall mount directly to shaft with No. 2-56 spline socket set screw,
located adjacent to No. 50 on graduated dial. Numeral Size: 0.075 high. Graduation Size: Numeral graduations .045 long (1,14)
intermediate graduations .030 long (0.76). Finish: Exposed metal partsÐBrushed metal finish; Turning knob and brake lever
knobÐBlack plastic. Numerals: Graduated DialÐblack; Turns CounterÐwhite on black background. Weight: 0.7 oz. max. (19.84 gm).

The 73 series is a 2-watt precision 10-turn potentiometer. The 73JB is the economical version of the 73JA, offering all the
electrical features of the 73JA, but employing a long life nylon shaft construction. The 73JB has a metal bushing with glass
filled black nylon shaft. The 73JA has a stainless steel shaft and metal bushing. Both shafts are

tolerance. They are economical but versatile in mounting, bushings and shafts. Effective rotation is 280 ¡ ±5¡ with 300¡
±5¡ electrical rotation. Supplied without hardware. Switches, other shafts, other resistance values and other tolerances
available as special order items.
