Unique products
The Model 5-23 Pressure T ransmitter is uniquely designed for
use with FMC-WECO® Wing Unions in extremely rugged,
high-pressure oil patch applications.
The Model 5-23 utilizes a Sputtered Thin Film sensing ele-
ment mated to the WECO Male Sub, that are designed on a
Finite Element Analysis tool, with the specific intent of
eliminating long-term signal drift in the field. This unique
design completely isolates the sensing element and the
signal conditioning electronics from the severe vibration,
shock, and impact stresses inherent in installation and
operation in drilling, mud logging, acidizing, cementing, and
other completion and stimulation applications.
This isolation provides an instrument that will drift less than
0.5% FSO/year! This eliminates the need for field or shop
recalibration, which shortens the down time of a tool or
system thus reducing the cost of ownership.
All Model 5-23 configurations have the most robust EMI/RFI
protection in the industry. The Model 5-23 will not shift, drift,
or fail in an EMI/RFI environment of greater than 100 volts/
meter up to 1.0 GHz.
The Model 5-23 is hermetically sealed by welding and
conforms to NEMA 4 & 4X enclosure requirements.
The Model 5-23 is available in MP35N/Hastelloy C-22
configurations for service in highly reactive and/or corrosive
media and are compliant with NACE Standard MR0175-97.
