TYPICAL APPLICATION
DESCRIPTION
Demonstration circuit 586 features the LTC2431, a 20-bit high performance
?? analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The LTC2431 features 3ppm linearity,
10ppm full-scale accuracy, 1ppm offset, and 0.56ppm noise. The inputs and
reference are fully differential, w ith input common mode rejection of 110 dB.
The LTC2431 is available in a 10 pin MS package and has an easy to use SPI
interface.
DC586 is a member of Linear Technology‘s QuickEval™ family of
demonstration boards. It is designed to allow easy evaluation of the LTC2431
and may be connected directly to the target application’s analog signals
w hile using the DC590 USB Serial Controller board and supplied softw are to
measure performance. The exposed ground planes allow proper grounding
to prototype circuitry. After evaluating w ith Linear Technology’s softw are,
the digital signals can be connected to the end application’s processor /
controller for development of the serial interface.

SIMULATE
The QuickEval System is a USB-based product demonstration and data
acquisition system for use w ith Linear Technology’s A/D, D/A, LED drivers
and Pow ered Ethernet Controllers. The system consists of a USB Data
Acquisition Controller board that connects to individual daughter cards for
specific Linear Technology products. The softw are also includes w eb links
to the appropriate device data sheets and provides an automatic update
feature to keep the softw are current w ith the latest set of device drivers.
