TLHG5800, TLHP5800, TLHY5800 Vishay Semiconductors High Efficiency LED, O 5 mm Untinted Non-Diffused FEATURES * Standard T-13/4 package * Small mechanical tolerances * Suitable for DC and high peak current * Very small viewing angle * Very high intensity * Luminous intensity categorized * Yellow and green color categorized * ESD-withstand voltage up to 2 kV according to JESD22-A114-B * Compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC and in accordance to WEEE 2002/96/EC 19223 DESCRIPTION The TLH.5800 series was developed for standard applications which need a very small radiation angle or a very high luminous intensity. It is housed in a 5 mm untinted non-diffused plastic package. The very small viewing angle of these devices provide a very high luminous intensity. The yellow and green LEDs are categorized in luminous intensity and additionally in wavelength groups. That allows users to assemble LEDs with uniform appearance. APPLICATIONS * Status lights * Off/on indicator * Lightpipe * Outdoor display * Medical instruments * Maintenance lights * Legend lights PRODUCT GROUP AND PACKAGE DATA * Product group: LED * Package: 5 mm * Product series: standard * Angle of half intensity: 4 PARTS TABLE PART COLOR, LUMINOUS INTENSITY TECHNOLOGY TLHY5800 Yellow, IV > 100 mcd GaAsP on GaP TLHG5800 Green, IV > 430 mcd GaP on GaP TLHP5800 Pure green, IV > 25 mcd GaP on GaP ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS 1) TLHY5800 , TLHG5800, TLHP5800 PARAMETER TEST CONDITION SYMBOL VALUE VR 6 V Tamb 65 C IF 30 mA tp 10 s IFSM 1 A Tamb 65 C PV 100 mW Tj 100 C Operating temperature range Tamb - 40 to + 100 C Storage temperature range Tstg - 55 to + 100 C Tsd 260 C RthJA 350 K/W Reverse voltage DC Forward current Surge forward current Power dissipation Junction temperature Soldering temperature t 5 s, 2 mm from body Thermal resistance junction/ ambient UNIT Note: 1) Tamb = 25 C unless otherwise specified Document Number 83013 Rev. 1.6, 11-Aug-09 For technical support, please contact: LED@vishay.com www.vishay.com 1 TLHG5800, TLHP5800, TLHY5800 Vishay Semiconductors OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS 1) TLHY5800, YELLOW PARAMETER TEST CONDITION SYMBOL MIN. The above type numbers represent the order groups which include only a few brightness groups. Only one group will be shipped on each bag (there will be no mixing of two groups on each bag). In order to ensure availability, single brightness groups will not be orderable. In a similar manner for colors where wavelength groups are measured and binned, single wavelength groups will be shipped in any one bag. In order to ensure availability, single wavelength groups will not be orderable. www.vishay.com 2 For technical support, please contact: LED@vishay.com Document Number 83013 Rev. 1.6, 11-Aug-09 TLHG5800, TLHP5800, TLHY5800 Vishay Semiconductors TYPICAL CHARACTERISTICS Tamb = 25 C, unless otherwise specified 1000 50 IF - Forward Current (mA) IF - Forward Current (mA) 60 40 30 20 10 0 0 95 10046 40 60 80 1 0 95 10030 Tamb - Ambient Temperature (C) tp/T = 0.01 0.02 0.05 0.1 100 1 0.2 0.5 10 95 10025 0.1 1 0 10 IF = 10 mA 50 0.8 60 70 0.7 80 0.4 40 60 80 100 yellow 2.0 1.6 1.2 0.8 0.4 0.2 95 10260 95 10022 Figure 3.
