- The first number “6” identifies protection against ingress of dust
- The second number “7” identifies against submersion in water under standardized conditions of pressure for 30 minutes.
The 798 Electronic Caliper provides an IP67* level of protection against foreign matter in a hostile shop environment
and has an extra-large LCD for excellent readability. 798 calipers have RS232 output to work with DataSure® Wireless
Systems as well as with cable-based products.
As with our earlier generations of Starrett calipers, the 798 has the feel of a well made, balanced solid tool - one that
you know will provide accuracy and repeatability you can count on.
