SHRINK-TAG MARKERS
HellermannTyton’s Shrink-Tag system is a heat shrink
identification method which makes it easy to mark wire,
cable, terminals, and other components.
For efficient marking, Shrink-Tags can be printed using
HellermannTyton’s thermal transfer printers and the
TTHST ribbons. Shrink-Tags are also pin-fed for use with
selected 9 pin dot matrix printers. TagPrint software can
be used with a standard dot matrix printer to print on the
Shrink-Tag markers. Marks can also be made with a
printer, typewriter, or pen. After the Shrink-Tag is heated
and shrunk, the imprint is permatized and solvent
resistant.
Shrink-Tag is self-extinguishing and recognized to U.L.
standard 224 for print performance, heat shock and
flammability.
HellermannTyton also offers a military specified version of
the Shrink-Tags, in both yellow and white, with or without
perforations. When used with a dot matrix or
HellermannTyton thermal transfer printer, these military
specified Shrink-Tags meet Mil-I-23053/5, Class I and III,
Mil. Std. 202 Method 215 (except solvent C because it is
ozone depleting), and Mil-M-81531 for print performance.

ALARM CARDS
HellermannTyton provides pre-printed cards of labels to
mark wires in alarm panels. Manufactured from
laminated polyester, HellermannTyton alarm cards
contain the most commonly used legends to mark wire
and cable in typical alarm installations. The text is
beneath 1/2 mil of mylar which is resistant to abrasion,
petroleum based solvents, alcohols, and water. The
markers are white with black text.

HellermannTyton Handi-Cards are easy release markers on
a plastic card. They feature a strong adhesive which assures
a long lasting bond on wire. Permanent, pre-printed

or letter. It runs in sequence beginning with the lowest
number or letter first, and ending with the highest.

Other legends are available including letters, +, -, and all 10 rolls of one legend. For legends other than 0-9, use WMT or WMTD (prefix) and
legend (suffix). For example, WMTA or WMTDA equals all “A” legends. Contact HellermannTyton for more information.
Complete merchandisers are shrink wrapped for clean storage.

WIRE MARKER TAPE
The wire marker tape dispenser provides a convenient, economical system for
wire marking. HellermannTyton’s wire marker tape features sharp, crisp legends
which are coated to resist smearing and abrasion. It is provided on a carrier strip
to prevent contamination of the adhesive prior to installation, assuring
permanent, non-flagging marker ends.
