Model CA-3123 is a broadband, base-mounted dipole antenna
which provides ver tically polarized, omnidirectional coverage
ov er the 225 – 400 MHz frequency band for po w er le vels to 100
watts. It is a r ugged, lightweight unit sealed within an epoxy
fiberglass radome, suitable for prolonged use in a marine
shipboard environment.
The zenith pattern of the antenna is a figure-eight with maximum
signal intensity along the horizon. An electrical isolating section
is incorporated into the feed system to pro vide a balanced feed
to the radiating elements and to assure large decoupling from
the feed line.
The RF input connector is a Type N receptacle in the base . The
input VSWR is less than 2.5:1, on 50 ohms, over the entire
operating band.
CA-3123 has been fully qualified to meet MIL-S-901C f or Grade
A Shock; MIL-STD-167, Type 1 Vibration; and all Service
Conditions of MIL-E-16400F for Class 2 equipments.
