In May 2005, Kingston® began shipping a line of
ValueRAM® server memory designed for and quali ed
on Intel® brand server motherboards and systems. The
ValueRAM “I-parts” cover everything from DDR2 to
DDR3L Registered and Unbu ered memory.
Kingston and Intel
Kingston works closely with Intel Platform and Server
groups to develop new memory technologies well
before the production motherboards and platforms
are released to the public. This relationship allows us
to prototype our memory solutions on pre-production
engineering boards to ensure we have a compatible
memory solution at product launch. Kingston’s DDR2
Registered DIMMs, FBDIMMs and DDR3 Registered
DIMMs are all examples of how this technical relationship
bene ts Kingston, Intel and ultimately you.
Multiple Platform Compatibility
Unlike some memory vendors who test on just a few
select server platforms, Kingston tests ValueRAM I-parts
on all current and legacy Intel server platforms.
Kingston Quality
Along with passing rigorous Intel compatibility tests,
all Kingston ValueRAM I-parts are put through our
patented server module burn-in process. During
burn-in, data is written to the modules at 212 degrees
Fahrenheit for 24 hours. The goal of this process is to
screen out early life DRAM failures before production
module testing.
Service and Support
In addition to free technical support and a lifetime
warranty from Kingston, all ValueRAM I-parts are also
eligible for full support from Intel’s technical support
groups. I-parts are also posted on Intel.com by the
motherboard and system they are quali ed on.
