Apptication -. The overvaliage protection module in combination with a DELTA-G&HUE0 sacket-outlet is a socket-outlat with earthing contact with integrated overveltage protection. (tis designed in accordance with DIN VDE 0675, Part 6 / Draft 11.89 and E DIN VDE 9675, Part 6/A1/1996-03 in conformance with requirement class D, and its purpose is to protect against overvoltages in the area of overvoltage category il according to DIN VDE 0116, Part 1. 3. Safety precautions The overvollage protection module must only be installed by a qualified electrician. itis nat permitted to use the overvoltage protection module in damp locations, Use of the overveltage protection module is only permissible within the scope of the technical data indicated here. In the event of loads above the indicated values, for exampte, resulting from a direct strike of lightning, the overvaltage protection module and the connected end device may be destroyed. Function/fault display, maintenance The overvoltage protectian module has an integrated monitoring device with optical display for the fault condition: if the green lamp is on (line indication): Ready for operation If the red larnp is on: Overvoltage protection fauitty. Note: Power supply is still present (green lamp on}. Have the overvaltage protection module cnanged by 4 qualified electrician! 6. Insulatian measurement According to DIN VDE 0100, Part 610/04.94, in power systems up to 500 V operating voltage, itis only necessary to measure the insulation of all active conducters to earth with a measuring direct voltage of 600 V.. If insulation measurement is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0100, Part 610/04.94, the surge arrester does not influence the insulation measurement in this case either {apart fram old TN-C systems). 7. Comments If the overvoltage protection module is backed up by residua! current protective devices, the sarthleakage circuit-breaker could trip in some circumstances. In such a case, energize the sarth-leakage circuit-breaker again. This will net affect the protective function of the overvoliage protection module. With suitable overvoitage protection in an electrical system, false tripping of earth-leakage circuit-breakers is not to be expected.
