NEW SERIES Engineering Bulletin Nov 02 GXL Series Actual Size The GXL series capacitors are new miniature high temperature capacitors from United Chemi-Con that are longer life versions of the 10 to 50 volt GXE series capacitors. With extended life expectancy of 5,000 to 10,000 hours at 125C with the rated ripple current applied, these GXL capacitors are suitable for use in very high temperature applications such as automotive engine controls. This high reliability series has a voltage range of 10 to 50 volts and a capacitance range of 100 to 4,700F. The GXL series capacitors are non-solvent proof. Refer to the Mini-Glossary for cleaning guidelines and recommended cleaning agents that are compatible with United Chemi-Con products. Summary of Specifications Radial lead terminals. The sum of the DC voltage and peak AC voltage must not exceed the full rated voltage of the capacitors.
